I trained as an illustrator and enjoy working in line and watercolour which gives me the freedom to work out of doors, or in crowds, catching a movement or a moment. I love old machinery and get quite excited about an old tractor or a classic MG!
I specialise in creating commemorative line and watercolours commissioned by schools and clubs using their archives as reference. I then group several drawings in one unique painting. For Weddings, Christenings and Anniversaries I include details such as the bride's dress and work from clients' photos and memorabilia.
I love illustrating children's stories and designing greetings cards.

Here is a rare opportunity to represent a selection of personal and special thoughts as a souvenir of an important occasion;

A WEDDING painting could comprise of a view of the church, wedding car and even a drawing showing the motif on a wedding gown or head dress all linked with a trail of the bouquet. Bridesmaids would love a small version of this.

An ANNIVERSARY painting can show the first home, honeymoon hotel, much loved pet or favourite flowers.

A 21st BIRTHDAY gift could illustrate the first car, university colours, horse riding or other hobbies.
A congratulatory message can be included within the design. -
RETIREMENT paintings can contain a wealth of pictorial stories of business achievements and golfing trophies.

COSTS AND BUSINESS TERMS:
Finished work will be in line and water colour and up to size A3 depending on the content.
A preliminary black and white draft will be supplied and on receipt of a 50% deposit and approval the work will be completed, rolled and posted by recorded delivery.
Great care will be taken of clients' photos etc. and will be returned.
Cost approximately £250 for composite works i.e. weddings etc. This allows for three or four illustrations plus some linking and blending to culminate in a satisfactory whole. I am happy to discuss additional content at the draft stage and finalise the cost.
Pay by cheque or B.A.C.S/electronic payment.
Other work includes Vintage and Veteran Vehicle portraits and cartoons and visitors are welcome to view by appointment.
